No less than 25 individuals were killed in Peru Tuesday when their transport dove around 100 meters (330 feet) into a gorge in the wake of slamming into a truck, police said.

The mishap occurred on a seaside expressway around 45 kilometers (25 miles) north of the capital Lima, said Colonel Dino Escudero, leader of the police's roadway watch division.
