Before developing this technology deaf and blind persons may thinks that they can't watch or enjoy television Darama's Sports, Movies, Songs but now its possible. Now blind and Deaf people also can watch and enjoy TV. Scientists recently developed new software that will allows deaf & blind persons to watch and enjoy TV content in their life with real time.
This software PervasiveSUB, compiles with all subtitles of TV channels and sends their frequency to main server which forwards them to tablets or smartphones. They are sent to Braille line of blind or deaf person with using an app that is totally compatible with different Braille lines and makes it possible to control over the speed of subtitles that are directly captured from live TV broadcast with the perfect synchronization.
The software is developed by Federation of Deaf-Blind Persons Associations (FASOCIDE), Universidad Carlos III, de Madrid (UC3M), researchers team in Spain also tested by on group of deaf and blind users.
Tested Users tell the advantages now they will be able to access information previously they could not access in the real time without intermediaries.
This software's ability to transmit data to Braille lines and ability to adjust reading speed and viewing speed. Deaf or blind persons suffer from combined deterioration of sight & hearing, which impact on their access to communication, information & mobility.
This is only the reason why they require specialized services, personnel trained specifically to care and train with special methods of communication.
The latest technology has already been implemented on various Spanish tv channels in Madrid, and it will also available in Spain soon. Researchers are now providing free service to anyone who needs it.
