A SpaceX reusable cargo ship splashed down in Pacific Ocean safely yesterday, ending with mission to supply astronauts on International Space Station, said by the company.
The Dragon capsule, only such vessel capable of returning with the research samples and some other material to the Earth, remained docked with ISS for nearly one month after delivering more-than 2 tons of water, scientific equipment and food for NASA on February 23.
Before its departure, crew loaded Cargo ship with the old equipment, waste & nearly 4,000 pounds of researching samples from experiments, carried out in station´s condition of micro-gravity.
Released by ISS´s robot arm at the 0900 GMT, capsule undertook more than 6 hours journey back to the Earth, landing off coast of Mexico just before the 1600 GMT, it is final descent slowed by three giant parachutes.
"Today we said goodbye to Dragon!" tweeted by Thomas Pesquet French astronaut, one of the six crew members, who arrived on ISS in November.
"She is taking part of us back to ground with her, important scientific samples, from the crew!"
