Polish PM Beata Szydlo was hospitalized due to minor injuries on Friday after a car struck her government vehicle in Southern city of Oswiecim, source local media.
“No need to worry nothing seriously happened. She is undergoing routine tests, “she said government spokesman Rafal Bochenek, quoted by public radio IAR (Informacyjna Agencja Radiowa).
53 year old PM Beata Szydlo was riding on motorcade when the Fiat vehicle struck forcing her vehicle off from road and also two security agents injured, according to radio IAR.She was in stable condition and was being transferred to a Warsaw hospital wherever she is expected to stay for many days, Polish media said. State prosecutors have opened an investigation into the crash.
“We´re with you Beato and we´re sure that once a temporary keep in hospital, you´ll be back with us once more leading the government,” Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the powerful head of Szydlo´s rightwing Law and Justice (PiS) party, said quoted by Poland´s PAP news agency.
The TVN24 commercial news channel reported that Szydlo´s vehicle crashed into a tree once being hit by the tiny act.
Friday crash was simply the latest road incident involving a senior Polish government official.
President Andzej Duda ended up in a road-side ditch last March once a tyre on his official auto blew.
Defence Minister Antoni Macierewicz escaped injury last month once his official vehicle was caught in a pile-up of many cars on associate degree icy road.
